TCS is an Employee Assistance program (EAP) that provides confidential advice, referral and case management services for behavioral health (mental health and substance abuse) to plan participants enrolled in its member Teamster welfare funds. Our services are part of your benefits package provided by your welfare fund and are provided free of charge to eligible participants.

All calls to TCS are confidential, and our team of professional counselors will handle your situation with care and compassion. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

What TCS can do for you
Provider & Treatment Referrals
TCS can alleviate some of the stress of finding a mental health provider by doing much of the legwork for you. Our staff will provide you with a carefully selected list of in-network providers and treatment programs that meet your specific needs and criteria. In many cases, providers will be pre-screened to ensure that they are accepting new patients and are contracted with your health plan’s network. Even if you’re not sure what type of provider would be best for you, give us a call, and our counselors will help guide you.
Case Management Services
If you or one of your dependents requires a higher level of psychiatric care or substance abuse treatment, our counselors can be your advocate.
TCS works directly with treatment facility staff to monitor patient progress every step of the way and ensure that our clients are receiving the best care at the most appropriate level of treatment.
Explanation of Benefits
Copays, coinsurance, deductibles – understanding your health plan can be overwhelming and confusing. If you have questions about your behavioral health benefits, the TCS staff is happy to help explain the details specific to your health plan.
We can review the details of your coverage and explain what’s covered and what’s not; make you aware of any deductibles, copayments and other out-of-pocket costs that may apply; and answer any questions you might have.
Savings
TCS only recommends providers and programs that are in your health plan’s network or are directly contracted with TCS, which means you will receive high-quality care and won’t pay a dollar more than you have to. We can steer you away from out-of-network programs that may not be covered by your plan and towards in-network programs that offer excellent care at little or no cost to you.
